delayed spring cleaning // books i read this week
Folks, I’m working hard to purge my bookshelves. Call it “delayed spring cleaning” or a monomaniacal obsession stemming from my need to find something in this life I have control over. Either/or.
What this process requires of me is: reading every book I own to determine whether I’ll want to reread it or refer back to it in the future.
It’s a long process.
The good news, is that this sort of “decluttering” project is what will fund the next issue of The West Review—where I ensure that contributors are always paid $10/text. So, if anyone’s looking for reading material, you can get 5 books for $30 or get 1 book in the mail every month for $10/month. Either way, the money goes to poets. Huzzah!
Alas, it’s US-only, but if you live abroad, I’m happy to send you PDFs of books I have for free. Just email me. Sharing access to resources is a form of community care, so of course I’m happy to share—just let me know your interests so I can send books I think you’ll like.
Anyway, here are the books I read this week:
Of these, I most enjoyed Pine, Autobiography, and On the Mezzanine. Highly recommend those three, in particular.
Welp, that’s all I have to offer today. Hope everyone has a great week.
