Hi all & happy Monday!

I don’t have much to share today—just some handy links and a callout. A few quick reminders: here is my Twitter. And here is my website. Here is my silly Instagram. Here is where you can get a book in the mail for $10/month.

Onward!

HERE ARE THE HANDY LINKS:

  • Everything I've Learned about Being a "Professional" Writer in One Post

  • How to Find a Literary Agent for Your Book

  • Authenticity Obsession, or Conceptualism as Minstrel Show

  • They Pretend To Be Us While Pretending We Don't Exist

  • Delusions of Whiteness in the Avant-Garde

  • Four Temperaments and the Forms of Poetry

Now, I’ve talked about submission fees before. I’ve put together a list of journals that pay—most of which don’t charge submission fees, unless otherwise stated. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that many journals need to charge that $3 fee—but a $3 processing fee is different than five dollars, or ten dollars, or twenty-five dollars. With that in mind:

HERE ARE THE JOURNALS THAT CHARGE A STUPID AMOUNT FOR SUBMISSIONS—NOT FOR CONTESTS OR FAST-RESPONSES BUT JUST REGULAR EVERY DAY OPEN-READING PERIOD SUBMISSIONS:

  • Tempered Runes Press ($5)

  • Big Whoopie Deal ($5)

  • Chestnut Review ($5)

  • Cleaver Magazine ($5)

  • Bridge ($15)

Journals don’t ever need to charge this much. It’s just absurd. Let me know if there’s any other journals I need to add and I’ll shame them, too.

Hope you have a great week!
