Every year, I throw together a lil gift guide mostly based on what I personally would like (hehe). Here’s last year’s. Below is this year’s!1
For the stocking:
For the self-care fan:
For the book lover:
For the gym rat:
For the kitchen and home:
For the fashion fiend:
For the dyke:
For the person obsessed with their pet:
For the artist:
For the person seeking self-improvement:
That’s all for today—

I know everyone puts out a gift guide, and that’s, like, capitalistic and stupid, but I love Stuff and love window shopping, even if I’m not buying, so I’m sharing this Despite It All.
Caroline Cala Donofrio said it well:
Shopping is capitalism’s siren song, its dangling carrot of distraction. When things feel overwhelming, when we’re momentarily aware that we are the proverbial frog in the pot —the temperature slowly increasing around us until, oops, we’re cooked — it’s all too human to reach for something soothing. Substances or doom scrolling or Hallmark movies or escapist fiction or stuff. When we can’t opt out, we can add to cart.
There’s also this. Sue me. I like Stuff anyway. If you don’t, check out these 10 ideas to shake up your family’s holiday traditions.
